Some Tools available on FreeFormatter — formatters, validators, encoders & decoders, code minifiers and beautifiers, converters, cryptography and security tools, string escapers and utilities, data generators and other web resources (the "Tools") — require the entry of data which may contain personal or sensitive information. The Tools process that data locally in your browser. You represent and warrant that you have the legal right to use any data entered into the Tools and you acknowledge that FreeFormatter is not responsible for any data processed by the Tools on your device.
Disclaimer on the Tools' intended use
Usage of FreeFormatter is at your own risk. The Tools are provided for convenience and educational purposes only. In particular:
- The credit card number generator produces random numbers that satisfy the Luhn checksum for testing purposes only. They are not real accounts and cannot be used for real transactions.
- The cryptographic tools (message digests, HMAC) are provided for development and testing. Many older algorithms (MD2, MD4, MD5, SHA-1…) are considered insecure and must not be used to protect sensitive data.
- Validators, formatters and converters are provided as-is and may not cover every edge case of every specification.

This website and the Tools are provided "as is" without any representations or warranties, express or implied. FreeFormatter makes no representations or warranties in relation to this website or the information and materials provided on this website. FreeFormatter does not warrant that this website will be constantly available, or available at all; or that the information on this website is complete, true, accurate or non-misleading.
